The last Shipston Town Directory was published in the year 1999 which included a map on the front cover and listed local residents numbers and addresses as well as local businesses and their details, as well as the Town Council members at the time. It also included facts and figures relating to Shipston and formed a nice momento of the town that year. The question is, would residents like to see the resurrection of the 'Town Directory' as there have been so many residential estate changes since 1999? Or, do you think there is no longer a place for a town directory thanks to the emergence of the Internet technologies and smartphones such as the iPhone. Do you even perhaps see phone directories as a security risk?
