Shipston Post Problems

E-mail

postal

It would appear that Shipston has had it's frontline postal delivery service cut by 50% which takes our four postmen down to two.  This has caused a serious backlog in delivery.  There have been reports that parcels and letters are not arriving for weeks at a time.

Have you been having any problems?  Have you received everything on time through the post?  Do you know of anyone that has been having problems with delivery?  Let us know below....

Public Say On Planning

E-mail

onlinemap

In the Times (Monday 7th December), a short article expressed the following:

"The public will be given more influence over developments under new planning rules. The proposals, outlined in a Localism Bill to be published by Eric Pickles, the Communities Secretary, would transfer some planning powers from councils to official “neighbourhood” groups and may result in homeowners being allowed to build extensions without planning permission."

Let us know your thoughts on this below....

Going One-Way

Going One-Way...

As detailed in the Mayor's report in this months Novemeber Forum, Wariwkckshire County Council traffic engineers have completed their feasibility study which included the analysis of more than 100 hours of video camera recordings of the current traffic situation.  The proposed plan is now open to public consultation.

Would you like to see a one-way system enforced within the Town Centre?  Do you think this will improve the current congestion issues?  How would you like to see this enforced if indeed it goes ahead?  if you have had a chance to look at the proposed plans what are your thoughts?

Cobble Shipston?

E-mail

street

With talk of a potential one way system being introudcued into the centre of Shipston to improve traffic flow, what are your thoughts on the idea of High Street and Market Place being cobbled and becoming a pedestrian only zone?
